What Are My Options to Replace Missing Teeth? Part Two: Dental Implants

dental-implantIn our last post, we discussed the advantages and disadvantages of popular tooth-replacement methods, including bridges, partials, and dentures. This week, we’ll discuss how a revolutionary treatment – dental implants – has forever changed prosthetic dentistry (for the better!).

Now that you’re somewhat familiar with bridges and dentures, you know that these options rely on healthy teeth for support, which can potentially cause more problems in the future. Dental implants are the only independently anchored solution to missing teeth. They achieve their independence because of a small metal post that roots the tooth in the jaw bone.
